Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 10.1-202.2 as follows:

§ 10.1-202.2. Golden Age Card established; discounted entry into state campgrounds.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation shall develop and establish a Virginia Golden Age Card in accordance with this section.  The Card shall authorize citizens of the Commonwealth who are 60 years of age or older to enter the camping facilities at Virginia's state parks at a 50% discount for a maximum of 14 days in any calendar year.

Upon application, including proof of age, by a person eligible under this section to the Department , the Division of State Parks shall issue the Card.
