This bill designating the North and South Mayo River in Henry County (near NC line and Martinsville, Va) has the full support of the Board of Supervisors and Dan River Basin Assn and is part of Henry County's effort to promote its rivers for tourism -- this is a gorgeous part of the state, and the Mayo is very special. Eventually, there are hopes that a linear park might be developed along the Mayo in Va. to meet up with the Mayo River park in North Carolina.
This should not be a controversial bill but still one worth supporting.
