HB672: Higher educational institutions; establishing policies to provide single-sex housing to students.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 23-7.6 as follows:
§ 23-7.6. Single-sex on-campus housing; required upon request.
The board of visitors or other governing body of each four-year public institution of higher education in the Commonwealth shall establish a policy to provide single-sex housing to students that are entitled to on-campus housing and request single-sex living arrangements through the designation of at least a single-sex floor or single-sex section of a dormitory, dependent on the total number of total requests.
