Preliminary protective orders; stalking; extension. Allows the court to extend a preliminary protective order for a period of up to six months if the respondent fails to appear at the hearing. Language mirrors subsection B of 16.2-253.1, relating to preliminary protective orders in family abuse cases. Amends § 19.2-152.9 (“Preliminary protective orders.”), of the Code of Virginia.
