HB797: Traffic signs and markings; VDOT to transfer control to Fairfax County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Notwithstanding any contrary provision of Title 33.1 or Title 46.2 of the Code of Virginia, any and all powers, duties, responsibility, and control over traffic signage and marking within the boundaries of the County of Fairfax is hereby transferred from the Department of Transportation to the County of Fairfax. The Department of Transportation shall fully reimburse the County of Fairfax, on a quarterly basis, for its actual and necessary expenses incurred in carrying out the provisions of this act.
2. That the provisions of this act shall expire on July 1, 2011.
