Summary
Establishment of the Capitol District. Defines the geographic
seat of government of the Commonwealth as the "Capitol District."
The definition is for administrative purposes only and does not restrict or
augment the responsibilities or authority of the legislative, executive, or
judicial branch of state government or any agency thereof. The Capitol District
is comprised of the area in Richmond bounded by Broad Street, Eighth Street,
Main Street, and Interstate 95.
