Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-1147.1 as follows:

§ 46.2-1147.1. Permits for operation of certain oversize vehicles.

No permit issued by the Department to authorize the operation of vehicles hauling storage sheds that are no more than 12 feet wide shall include any restriction on the hours during which vehicles may be operated on the highways of the Commonwealth dependent upon whether or not schools are in session on the days of such operation. However, permits covering hours of operation of vehicles hauling storage sheds that are 14 feet wide or wider may include restrictions on the hours during which vehicles may be operated on the highways of the Commonwealth on days when schools are in session.
