Energy - Support
It appears this piece of legislation will be modified to allow the 10's of thousands of developments with restrictive covenants against using solar energy to keep them. It will be modified to only cover new developments. Unfortunately, with the slow down in housing this piece of legislation if it passes as modified will mean virtually nothing for my generation and probably will not have a visible impact for another 2 or 3 generations. It would appear to be about as un American as you can get to prevent someone from accessing free made in America solar energy and force them to use oil or gas imported from Iran or Russia or Venezuela or who knows where else?. It is not only bad for our balance of payments and our national security, but it is also decidedly anti Christian as God made the Sun and I do not see how a developer or architectural review commitee should have the right to take it away.
