Description

Involuntary commitment petition; withdrawal. Makes clarifying change regarding service of a petition for involuntary commitment, replacing the term "dismissed" with "withdrawn," since a petition cannot be dismissed until after a hearing on the petition has been held. Amends § 16.1-341 (“Involuntary commitment; petition; hearing scheduled; notice and appointment of counsel.”), of the Code of Virginia. View Full Text »
