Description
Administration of prescription drugs. Expands authority of persons who have completed a training course approved by the Board of Nursing, and who do so in compliance with the prescriber's instructions and in accordance with regulations promulgated by the Board of Pharmacy, to allow administration of prescription drugs where the drugs would normally be self-administer by an individual receiving services in a program licensed by the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services. Such authority was previously limited to administration of drugs that would normally be self-administered by a resident of a facility licensed or certified by the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services.
