Description

Energy performance-based contracts; local assistance. Requires the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy to assist localities, upon request, in executing an energy performance-based contract. The bill also requires the Department to compile information annually concerning the progress of energy efficiency and energy conservation achieved through energy performance-based contracting and post such information on its website. Local governments would have the responsibility of notifying the Department of any existing energy performance-based contract and providing a copy of any energy performance-based contract to the Department within 30 days of entering the contract.
