Description
Behavioral health authority; board membership. Allows a member of a local governing body to be a member of a behavioral health authority's board of directors. Also allows members to serve more than three full terms, but not more than three full consecutive terms. After a one-year period has elapsed since the member's last three-year term, the governing body may reappoint that member. Amends § 15.2-1535 (“Members of governing body not to be elected or appointed by governing body to certain offices.”), § 37.2-603 (“Board of directors; terms; vacancies; removal.”), of the Code of Virginia.
