Description
Admissibility of expressions of sympathy. Expands the list of expressions of sympathy that are not admissible in medical malpractice actions and wrongful death actions brought against a health care provider to include commiseration, condolence, or compassion, together with apologies or explanations. Amends § 8.01-52.1 (“Admissibility of expressions of sympathy.”), § 8.01-581.20:1 (“Admissibility of expressions of sympathy.”), of the Code of Virginia. View Full Text »
