Description

Practice of dental hygienists. Provides that a dental hygienist who holds a license or permit issued by the Board of Dentistry may provide educational and preventive dental care in the Lenowisco, Cumberland Plateau, and Southside Health Districts, which are designated as Virginia Dental Health Professional Shortage Areas by the Department of Health, and that any dental hygienist providing such services shall practice pursuant to a protocol developed by the Department of Health.
