Description

Influenza; vaccination of minors. Requires the Board of Health to, by August 31, 2009, develop and issue guidelines for administration of influenza vaccine to minors by registered nurses, and provides that a prescriber, acting on behalf of the Department of Health and in accordance with guidelines issued by the Department of Health may authorize the administration of influenza vaccine to a minor by a registered nurse. This bill further provides that the presence and consent of the minor's parent, guardian or legal representative shall be required for administration of the vaccine. Read the Bill »
