Description
Emergency medical services provider; procedure upon receipt of complaint. Provides that, upon receipt of a complaint regarding an emergency medical services provider, the Commissioner of Health shall provide a copy of the complaint to the provider who is the subject of the complaint and shall inform the emergency medical services provider who is the subject of the complaint of the complaint investigation procedure, the hearing process set forth in the Administrative Process Act, and of the emergency medical services provider's right to be represented by counsel. This bill further provides that no emergency medical services personnel provider shall be interviewed as part of the investigation process until such time as the requirements have been met, and that failure to comply with the requirements shall entitle the emergency medical services provider to recover damages in the amount of $25,000 plus all reasonable costs and attorney fees.
