Description
Workers' Compensation; occupational disease presumption; police officers of the Virginia Port Authority. Establishes a presumption that hypertension or heart disease causing the death or disability of a sworn Virginia Port Authority police officer is an occupational disease compensable under the Workers' Compensation Act. Amends § 65.2-402 (“Presumption as to death or disability from respiratory disease, hypertension or heart disease, cancer.”), of the Code of Virginia. View Full Text »
