Description
Risk management; sheriff departments. Clarifies that when a sheriff or deputy sheriff performs any law-enforcement service in the locality in which he serves, such performance shall be considered in the scope of his duties, and no pre-notification to the Division of Risk Management shall be required for liability coverage. Amends § 2.2-1839 (“Risk management plans administered by the Department of the Treasury\u2019s Risk Management Division for political subdivisions, constitutional officers, etc.”), of the Code of Virginia.
