Description
Publication of annual school budget. Requires local governing bodies and local school divisions to publish the estimated required local match in the publication of the annual school budget. Local governing bodies and school divisions must, by law, publish the annual school budget for public inspection and comment. This bill requires that the publication include the estimated required local match for school funding purposes. Amends § 15.2-2506 (“Publication and notice; public hearing; adjournment; moneys not to be paid out until appropriated.”), § 22.1-93 (“Approval of annual budget for school purposes.”), of the Code of Virginia.
