Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 54.1-3408.2 as follows:

§ 54.1-3408.2. Random urine drug screens required with certain prescriptions.

Any physician who prescribes a Schedule II, III, or IV controlled substance for a duration greater than 31 days shall require the recipient of such prescription to undergo mandatory random urine drug screening tests, as prescribed by the Board in regulation.
