Description

Indemnification provisions in construction contracts.  Declares that a provision in a construction contract that requires the contractor to provide insurance coverage, or to name a party to the contract as an additional insured on a policy of insurance, for the purpose of providing an indemnity that is prohibited under current law, is void and unenforceable. The measure also provides that a provision in a construction contract by which the contractor purports to indemnify or hold harmless another party against liability for damage caused by independent contractors of the other party is void and unenforceable.   View Full Text »
