Description

Workers' Compensation; exclusion of certain employees.  Excludes a person from coverage under the Virginia Workers' Compensation Act if he is covered by or eligible for benefits with respect to disability or death under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act or the Jones Act. The measure provides that such persons continue to be employees for purposes of the Act with respect to injury by accident that occurred prior to July 1, 2010, for which the required notice is given or claim is filed within the prescribed time periods.
