HOUSE BILL NO. 611 Offered January 13, 2010 Prefiled January 12, 2010 A BILL to require the Director of the House Appropriations Committee staff to estimate the change in the number of state employees resulting from pending Budget Bills. ---------- Patron-- Purkey ---------- Committee Referral Pending ----------

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That prior to the date on which the House of Delegates is scheduled to vote on a Budget Bill or any amendment thereto, the Director of the House Appropriations Committee staff shall provide to members of the House of Delegates, and make available to the public, an estimate of the net number of full-time equivalent state employees that will be added or lost as a result any such bill.
