Let's end this ban on radar detectors. 49 other state allow their use. The use of a radar detector does not make a driver unsafe. People use many devices in their vehicles that are not safe to use while, why are these device not banned? This bad on radar detectors is not about safety, its about money bought in from speeding fines and the few people caoght with a radar detector in their cars...If I can't use a radar detector then the police should be allowed to use radar or any other device to track speed. By end this ban and allowing the use and sale of radar detectors, Virgina will make money from the sales tax on theses devices. I beleave that the sale tax would be more then the fines from the ban. So let's end this ban and allow the sale and use in Virginia.
Let's all be followers and who will be leaders? Just because 49 other states allow radar detectors doesn't mean we should follow suit.
Why do we need laws? Why do we need big brother watching over us?? Because. generally speaking we are ignorant. Mr.Joe Mays has his head buried in the sand on this one. How in the world will banning radar detedctors harm tourism and business in VIRGINIA?? Obay the law and follow the speed limit and you will have no problem. Just plain old common sense. Which by the way, is not so common.
