Description

School calendar.  Makes local school boards responsible for setting the school calendar and determining the opening of the school year and eliminates the post-Labor Day opening requirement and "good cause" scenarios for which the Board of Education may grant waivers of this requirement. This will allow schools to start the year early and will be able to let the schools go for the summer before June 23. (our last day of school)!

this needs to be passed or a version thereof. Currently we do not get out until June 23!! because of the late start.
