Description

Check cashers; customer identification; penalty.  Requires persons conducting business as check cashers to make copies of the item cashed and a valid identification document of the customer for every transaction. Records for each transaction are required to be retained for a period of one year and made available to law-enforcement officials. A violation of these requirements is a Class 1 misdemeanor.   View Full Text »
