Nancy Miller writes:

It is my understanding that traffic violators in HOT Lanes will be ticketed by Virginia State Troopers hired by the private company Transurban to patrol the HOT Lanes. The violation will be a civil penalty. All of the money collected for the violations will go to the private company Transurban and not to the State of Virginia. This is a source of revenue we can not afford to give away. If violations are "traffic infractions" the money will go to the State of Virginia which is in dire need of money. This change seems like a no brainer. Please vote in favor of HB 968.
