Description

Charter; Town of Christiansburg.  Amends the charter of the Town of Christiansburg to change the date of the town council member and mayoral election to the general election date in November. The changes provide that three council members shall be elected on the November 2011 general election date and every four years thereafter and a mayor and three other council members shall be elected on the November 2013 general election date and every four years thereafter. The terms of office of the council members and mayor begin on the January following their election, instead of the September following their election.   View Full Text »
