WHEREAS, Robert Ratliff, a respected citizen and devoted husband and father from Norfolk, died on February 3, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Robert Ratliff was born on September 13, 1931, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, and lived there before moving to Virginia; and
WHEREAS, a hard-working and valued employee, Robert Ratliff retired in 1995 as a corrections officer after years of service; and
WHEREAS, a devoted family man, Robert Ratliff enjoyed spending time with his daughters and precious grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Robert Ratliff will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his loving wife, Mamie Lawrence Ratliff; daughters, Darlene Ratliff and Sherri Edmonds; grandchildren, Myles Edmonds and Meagan Edmonds; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of a respected citizen and devoted husband and father, Robert Ratliff; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Robert Ratliff as an expression of the House of Delegates? respect for his memory.
