Vince Peterson writes:

Senator Barker, with respect, extending the clean fuel plate HOV exemption to 2011 - but then inserting language which excludes their use on ALL HOV lanes in N. Virgina is not only wrong on the substance of the issue, but is a disingenuous approach to the legislation. Supporting the clean fuel plate HOV exemption for all HOV lanes is the right decision for minimizing commute times N. VA commuters on both sides of the dividers and promoting a clean environment by continuing to support those who the legislature encouraged to invest in environmenatlly frieindly, non-poluting automobiles. As HB214 does not make this same exclusion for HOV lanes in N. VA, we will be watching your vote very carefully when this bill comes to the Senate.

Donald R. Condrill writes:

We bought a 2004 Honda Hybrid with the express intention of using it on the HOV lanes of I 66.
Every year, until now, permission has been renewed to use it on I66 HOV lanes.
What happened to change it this year?
I am 88 years old and the veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
Would appreciate reconsideration.
Thanks much.
