Description

Group health insurance; coverage for children.  Allows coverage under a group accident and sickness insurance policy to be extended to an insured group member's child who is under the age of 27. Currently, such coverage may be extended to a child who is under the age of 19, or the age of 25 if the child is a dependent or full-time student.  Coverage may also be extended beyond this age limit if agreed by the insurer and policyholder. Amends § 38.2-3525 (“(Effective until July 1, 2014) Group accident and sickness insurance coverages of spouses, dependent children or other persons.”), of the Code of Virginia. View Full Text »
