Description

Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act; identity credentials.  Provides for the liability or immunity of both providers and licensees of digital identity credentials in the provisioning, providing, and commercially reasonable reliance upon digital identity credentials. The bill also includes technical amendments. Amends § 59.1-501.2 (“Definitions.”), § 59.1-504.4 (“Implied warranty; informational content.”), § 59.1-508.1 (“Remedies in general.”), § 6.2-1816 (“Required and prohibited business methods.”), § 6.2-2218 (“Advertising.”), of the Code of Virginia.
