Description

Auditor of Public Accounts to review distribution of local retail sales and use tax.  Requires the Auditor of Public Accounts to review each year the collection and distribution of the retail sales and use tax, with a focus on the collection and distribution of local retail sales and use taxes. Beginning with fiscal year ending June 30, 2013, the Auditor would recommend annual benchmarks for evaluating the effectiveness of the Department of Taxation in collecting and distributing the local retail sales and use tax.
