Description
Synthetic cannabinoids; bath salts; penalties. Amends provisions added to the Code last year regarding the criminalization of synthetic cannabinoids and chemicals known as "bath salts" to add newly identified chemical combinations. The bill adds a more generic chemical description of synthetic cannabinoids so that new combinations will be illegal without the precise chemical combination being added to the Code. Amends § 18.2-248.1:1 (“Penalties for possession, sale, gift, or distribution of or possession with intent to sell, give, or distribute synthetic cannabinoids; manufacturing.”), § 54.1-3446 (“Schedule I.”), of the Code of Virginia. Bills would outlaw new designer drugs
February 19, 2012
Legislators and medical experts are concerned about the rising use of synthetic drugs known as “bath salts,” which cause a cocaine-like high – and in rare instances can cause death.

Comments
All these bills regarding cannabinoids will be moot by the time they are passed. There are millions of combinations waiting to be released once this type of legislation is passed. I make herbal incense using some of the chems that are about to be banned and i already have replacements that are compliant with this pending bill. Why not spend my tax money on something else.
