Description
Urban county executive form; board of supervisors. Provides that a special election to fill a vacancy on the board shall be called no fewer than 45 days, rather than 30 days, after the vacancy occurs to allow sufficient time to prepare for the election. This change is also applicable to urban county executive form school board vacancies through a cross-reference in 22.1-57.3. Amends § 15.2-802 (“Powers of county vested in board of supervisors; membership, election, terms, etc., of board; vacancies; powers of chairman.”), of the Code of Virginia. View Full Text »
