Description
Time-served credit for pretrial home/electronic incarceration. Provides that a circuit or district court, when imposing a sentence of incarceration upon a person convicted of a criminal offense, may allow the person convicted credit for time served prior to trial under home/electronic incarceration authorized under 19.2-123 and shall set forth in the sentencing order whether or not such credit is allowed. This bill should have passed. You can serve a sentence on home confinement so it should also be an option for the judge to give u credit for time spent on confinement before ur actually sentenced.
