Description

Commitment of sexually violent predators; probable cause hearing; use of video and audio communication system.  Provides that the hearing to determine whether probable cause exists to believe that a person is a sexually violent predator who should be civilly committed may be conducted by using a two-way electronic video and audio communication system. I think this is a bad bill.

For one, the defendant is not guilty until the gavel slams down.

Second, being viewed like a youtube video is de-humanizing.

Third, by de-humanizing the defendant, we're as guilty in the same manner as the defendent is (if guilty) who conducted his/her crime, by objectifacation. That is best not done by anyone, especially by of Court of Law that I wold think would know better.
