Jerry Frawley writes:

Another bill submitted by a Senator with a conflict of intereswt. He has several conviction for game law violations.

Richard Atkins writes:

I didn't know the republicans were anti law enforcement.
If dgif isn't allowed to patrol it no one will. This Senator
Should be investigated for corruption.

George Wise writes:

This bill needs to be killed.

Carol Senechal writes:

This is a horrible bill. We will do everything we can to kill it!!!!

Patricia writes:

Kill this bill, serves no purpose except to stroke someones ego.Shameful!!!

Sidney Burr writes:

Senator Stuart, you seem to have a unusually strong interest in DGIF and a desire to reduce it's overall effectiveness. Why should certain areas be exempt from its jurisdiction? Who would then protect this area, or is it on its own? This bill is a waste of legislator's time and my VA taxes and should be killed immediately.

Judith Tyson writes:

The proposed changes sure look like some sort of response to a special interest to me. These changes should not fly. Please withdraw this bill. Our wildlife need appropriate protection on all fronts...including all waterfronts. Thank you.

Mary McDonald writes:

SB 17, 25, 26 and 176 seems to punish DGIF and NOT in the interest of wildlife or Virginia. Please trash these bills since they seem to be a conflict of interest to your statement in June 2011 on your FB page of "It is an honor to be named the Legislator of the Year by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. I promise to continue to work hard and preserve our Commonwealth's treasures."

Thank you

H Pocklington writes:

I can't fathom any reason to take protection away from Back Bay and other waterways in this state. Worse yet, he wants to take authority away from Conservation Police Officers. It is odd that a Senator from an area far away would be involved in this.

Carol Ann Arendall writes:

Confused...just what is really going on here? Is there an agenda to undermine DGIF? This bill needs to be killed and a close look taken at why it was even introduced.

Ann Shirley writes:

I'm not sure if there is a statute of limitations on being embarrassed to have your hand caught in the cookie jar, but this article may explain the motivation for introducing a bill completely without merit. I hope Sen. Stuart's common sense finally prevails and he withdraws this bill.

WILLIAM WALSH writes:

FOR THE LIFE OF ME I CANNOT COMPREHEND THE REASON FOR SEN. STUART'S BILL. WE NEED DGIF TO CONTINUE THEIR WORK IN BACK BAY.
I WOULD HOPE THAT THE MEMBERS OF THIS COMMITTEE WILL SEE THAT THIS BILL MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER AND KILL IT.

Loudoun Insider writes:

This is outrageous! I plan to do a blog post on this at Too Conservative after someone told me about Stuart. Does anyone have any further info on what Stuart was convicted of int terms of game violations?
