Description
Disclosure of records related to marriages, divorces, and annulments. Reduces the period of time that must pass before records related to marriages and divorces may become public information from 50 years to 25 years and provides that annulments may become public information after 25 years. Amends § 32.1-271 (“Disclosure of information in records; when unlawful; when permitted; proceeding to compel disclosure; when certain records made public.”), of the Code of Virginia.
