Description

Scrap metal processors; reports of purchases. Requires each scrap metal processor to furnish to the chief law-enforcement officer of the locality in which it conducts business a report of its purchases of nonferrous scrap, metal articles, and proprietary articles, other than aluminum cans and interior household items. The reports are due on the next business day following the date of a purchase. Currently, scrap metal processors are required to submit such reports only if requested by a law-enforcement officer of the locality. Read the Bill »
