Description
Motor vehicle insurance; medical expense benefits; assignments. Invalidates assignments of medical expenses benefits provided under a motor vehicle liability insurance policy. Medical expense benefits due to a covered injured person may be paid directly to a state or federal assistance program that provided benefits to such injured person that arose out of the ownership, maintenance, or use of a motor vehicle. The measure also provides that medical expense benefits may not be reduced because of any benefits paid, payable, or provided by a health insurance policy. Amends § 38.2-2201, of the Code of Virginia. View Full Text »
