Description
Study; Joint Commission on Transportation Accountability; report. Directs the Joint Commission on Transportation Accountability to conduct a one-year study of the policy of tolling transportation facilities in the Commonwealth, the financial performance of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), the possibility of using a portion of farecard fees collected by WMATA to pay for the Silver Line, registration processes at the Department of Motor Vehicles, the feasibility of widening Interstate Route 66 inside the Capital Beltway, and the effectiveness of transportation studies pertaining to local zoning decisions.
