Description

Guardianship and conservatorship; appointment of administrators. States that a tax-exempt charitable organization that has been designated by the Virginia Department for the Aging as a public conservator or guardian may serve in that capacity for other individuals. It further provides that a non-profit charitable organization may serve as an administrator of an estate of an individual if 45 days have elapsed since the decedent's death and no distributee has notified the clerk. Such charitable organization must establish that it made a diligent search for any distributee. Read the Bill »
