Description

Virginia Defense Facility and Transportation Improvement Fund and Program.  Establishes the Virginia Defense Facility and Transportation Improvement Fund and Program. The Fund is to consist of $250 million of annual collections of state recordation taxes. Its proceeds are to be allocated by the Commonwealth Transportation Board to highway construction districts wherein federal defense facilities or bases are affected as the result of actions of the Base Realignment and Closure Commission, and are to be used for transportation infrastructure improvements.
