A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Chapter 28 of Title 2.2 a section numbered 2.2-2831, relating to severance benefits to state employees.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Chapter 28 of Title 2.2 a section numbered 2.2-2831 as follows:

§ 2.2-2831. Severance benefits.

No severance benefit shall be provided to any state officer or employee except as specifically authorized by the General Assembly.
