Description

Commonwealth Transportation Board; Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner. Provides for election of the non-at-large members of the Commonwealth Transportation Board by majority vote of the members elected to each house of the General Assembly. The bill also provides for election of the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner by the Commonwealth Transportation Board, with the consent of the Governor, for a term of four years. In the event of a vacancy, an Acting Commissioner would be appointed by the Governor until the vacancy is filled by the Commonwealth Transportation Board. The salary of the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner would be fixed by the Commonwealth Transportation Board, unless it is set by the General Assembly in the appropriation act. Read the Bill »
