Description
Minimum wage. Increases the minimum wage from its current federally mandated level of $5.15 per hour to $6.15 per hour effective July 1, 2007, and to $7.25 per hour effective July 1, 2008, unless a higher minimum wage is required by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The measure also repeals the existing exclusion for persons who have reached age 65 from the definition of an employee under the Virginia Minimum Wage Act. Read the Bill »
