Carolyn Hawley writes:

I highly recommend that this bill is passed in all aspects. Ms. Abernathy has served our community extremely well and has shown resolve and vision continually. Ms. Abernathy has stood up for the people of Carver in settings and with persons that others could have or would have been intimidated to do so. This selflessness, community-driven persona puts Ms. Abernathy in a very rare category that we can all admire and draw strength from. To know the inner workings of a person and imagine the fortitude it takes to serve as Ms. Abernathy has is a true testatment to the vastness of the human spirit and a commitment to righteousness. I thank you for introducing the bill and hope and pray that it is passed. Barbara is a great person and has been bold and innovative in helping others!!!
