Description

Public records; protection of law-enforcement officers; penalty. Requires a clerk of court, upon written request from a law-enforcement officer, to remove any land records from the Internet or from an online subscription service that identify a law-enforcement officer's home address or the address of his spouse or children. The bill also makes it a Class 1 misdemeanor for the perpetrator of a crime against the person to identify, chose, or locate his victim using public records. If the victim is a law-enforcement officer, it is a Class 6 felony. Read the Bill »
