Description

Waiver of Standards of Learning requirements for certain students. Requires that the Standards of Learning requirements and all related assessments must be waived for any student enrolled in an advanced placement class at the high school level who scores three or above on the advanced placement test for that subject. Good amendment. No point of doubling the tests for AP students.

I disagree. The tests are not the same. An advanced placement test does not necessarily include the same content as the SOL test. It is always dangerous to substitute tests for one another without first finding out if they were designed to do the same thing. These two tests were not so designed.
